The Marley Homes Public Housing Project was in a state of serious disrepair resulting from lack of maintenance and Hurricane Hugo damage.  The project included the full restoration of the existing structures along with the addition of a second story to all 34 housing units while maintaining partial tenant occupancy.  In addition, the project included the total replacement of all utility services such as water mains, distribution and metering, fire protection piping and hydrants, sewer lines and restoration of the water storage system.  The project was such a success that the R.R. Caribbean / Benton Construction Joint Venture earned the prestigious U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Outstanding Performance Award!
