This building completes the Global Crossing South American Crossing (SAC) fiber optic ring.  The 37,400 SF facility (designed by the Benton Design Team in just three months) was constructed on a fast-track basis and completed within six months of groundbreaking with some areas of the building being made available for the Owner’s equipment installation in less than four months.  This mission critical facility was designed for 24/7/365 operation and can sustain wind gusts up to 200 MPH.  This high security facility includes 370 tons of 100% redundant critical humidity and temperature controlled HVAC systems (with ductwork sized for 550 tons), FM 200 fire suppression systems, two redundant groups of four 650 kVA power generation plants, remote CCTV monitoring and programmable proximity card entry systems.
